Hotel Review: Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel, Paris France

IMG_1588.jpg

I had the pleasure a couple of weeks ago to stay at the beautiful Renaissance Paris La Defense. Located just outside Paris, it is in the middle of the business district and more importantly, right by the Grande Arche, a modern architectural marvel in Paris!

The hotel itself is a modern building, situated in-between all these office buildings. It has a beautiful garden in the front which one has to enter thru. It driveway looks like it is weaving thru the trees in the garden. The hotel inside was beautiful, though with the typical European smaller-than-US-size rooms.IMG_1574.jpg

What really got me going about the hotel was when I looked out the room and there it was the massive Grande Arche! It is huge and awesome!!IMG_1575.jpg

The nearest Metro station is actually the one for the Arche, so I got the chance to walk around this massive structure. The Metro was also a quick 2-train, 20 minute ride to the architectural marvel everyone come too Paris to see – the Eiffel Tower!

  1. I stayed in the La Defense area when I visited Paris a couple of years ago. It was a pretty good location and the pricing is competitive. In general though, when I travel these days, I’d like to be closer to the heart of the places I want to visit.
