Lufthansa and Boeing – together for 50 years

Lufthansa and Boeing are celebrating a 50 year relationship. While Lufthansa flies Airbus aircraft too – they just received their first A380 – they have just completed 50 years of flying Boeing aircraft. They have flown every Boeing jet from the 707 to the 777. They just ordered 20 747-8 aircraft, to add to their long haul fleet.

The two companies are celebrating this relationship in a big way. They had a big ceremony in Hamburg un May. Also to celebrate the occasion, Lufthansa has introduced new livery on one of its Boeing 747 aircraft. It features a logo showing ’50th years’ and lists the models of all the Boeing aircraft ever operated by Lufthansa. The list includes the newly ordered 747-8. Here is a picture from Lufthansa’s Facebook page, added there by Steven Michalak.
